UFC Betting Tips

In sports betting, when it comes to choosing how you are going to place your bet there is more than one way of doing it. In UFC betting markets, your options include:

  • to win fight
  • total rounds
  • round betting
  • method of victory

Let’s break these down one by one so you get a better understanding of what they are and how to use them as UFC betting tips.

Most people have never heard of these options but if you have been placing bets for a number of years then I am sure you will be more than aware of their existence. If this is the case, why don’t we discuss them in depth so everyone can see how beneficial they really are when it comes to making money?

To Win Fight

In UFC betting, this is pretty self-explanatory; your bet is based on who you think the winner will be in the fight. This option allows us to place our bet in one or more rounds depending on when we predict the ender round will take place. The earlier in the match that you predict it to take place the less your payout is.

For example, if you think that one of the fighters will win at any time in the fight then you would place a bet on To Win Fight for $100, and let’s say he wins by TKO in round 4. Your payoff would be $250. The odds are now +250 meaning that you not only have to win but also have to do it with odds greater than -250 or greater than 1/4. This tells us how much we would win if we placed a $25 bet on this option.

Now a more interesting example: During UFC fights, If a fighter is getting pummelled and gets dropped so many times during the fight that you strongly believe he is done for, instead of placing a traditional bet you could place a bet on: To Win Fight for $250 and he happens to win by TKO in round 4.

Your payoff in Sports Interaction would be $750. The odds are now +750 meaning that you not only have to win but also have to do it with odds greater than -500 or greater than 2/5. This tells us how much we would win if we placed a $50 bet on this option.

In conclusion, when betting on who will win the fight, your payout is based on when you predict them to finish the fight, which results in a higher payout. Depending on what you’re looking for in your bets, there are a few other betting options available to bettors.

Total Rounds

This is also pretty self-explanatory; your bet is based on who you think will win the total number of rounds. This option allows us to place our bet in one or more rounds depending on when we predict the ender round will take place. The earlier in the match that you predict it to take place the less your payout is.

For example, while looking into your MMA betting odds, if you think that one of the fighters will win by decision then you would place a bet on Total Rounds for 6, and let’s say he wins by decision 6–3. Your payoff would be $400. The odds are now +400 meaning that you not only have to win but also have to do it with odds greater than -400 or greater than 1/2. This tells us how much we would win if we placed a $25 bet on this option.

Now a more interesting example: During a UFC event If a fighter is getting pummelled and gets dropped so many times during the fight that you strongly believe he is done for, instead of placing a traditional bet you could place a bet on: Total Rounds for 7 and he happens to win by decision 7–3. Your payoff would be $800.

The odds are now +800 meaning that you not only have to win but also have to do it with odds greater than -800 or greater than 1/4. This tells us how much we would win if we placed a $50 bet on this option. In conclusion, when betting on who will win the total number of rounds, your payout is based on when you predict them to finish the fight and ends up with a lower payout.

Round Betting

This works just like win the fight but instead of placing your bet in one or more rounds depending on when you predict the ender round will take place, your bet is placed depending on which round will be the last round. The earlier in the match that you predict it to take place the less your payout is.

For example, during a UFC fight if you think that one of them has a boxing advantage and he wins by knockout then you would place a bet on the last round being the 9th for $100, and let’s say he wins by TKO in round 9. Your payoff would be $300. The odds are now +300 meaning that you not only have to win but also have to do it with odds greater than -300 or greater than 1/3.

This tells us how much we would win if we placed a $25 bet on this option. Now a more interesting example: If both fighters are evenly matched, one of them is dominating, but you think they will really put him away later in the fight so you place a bet on: Round Betting last 4 rounds expecting him to finish him off after 8–9 rounds for $250.

Your payoff would be $600. The odds are now +600 meaning that you not only have to win but also have to do it with odds greater than -600 or greater than 1/6. This tells us how much we would win if we placed a $50 bet on this option.

Let’s talk about the corners

This is where things start getting tricky; in UFC betting your bets are placed depending on who will end up winning each of the four corners (i.e., bets on which round will be the last one for this fighter). You must understand that these wagers can’t all happen at once there must always be two fighters fighting in the ring and to place your bet you indicate which corner you think will come out victorious in each round, setting up a virtual fight.

For example, let’s say a fighter is winning the first two rounds and he enters the third round with a big lead over his opponent. If you think the other corner will send in their champion to finish him off you would place a bet on: Corner Betting for the 7th round. Note: four bets must be made as there are 4 corners, therefore, making them $25 bets as opposed to your standard $10 bet that we use to place on one or more rounds depending on when we predict the ender round will take place.

In conclusion, this is where things can get risky in MMA betting because even if our guy wins those first 3 rounds but gets dropped a couple of times in round 4 and the other guys manage to come back and win the 5th round, his corner will still keep him in the ring for 6th round which means that you will lose your bet.

Also, these corners bets are always risky because if none of them get dropped then it is hard to knock somebody out, so your options for this bet would be to try to accumulate rounds betting on the last 4 rounds or last 6 rounds, but even though you can stack up on multiple corners you can’t put all four of these bets on at the same time.

Method of Victory

My personal favorite in UFC betting, Method of Victory or “MoV”, is a great way to bet on who will win the fight by analyzing the fighter’s skill set. This bet lets you choose how each fighter wins (i.e., knockout, submission, disqualification ) and you can place your bets up until two minutes into the first round or if one of them fails to answer or tap out due to injuries suffered in action. Let’s say our guy has 2 knockouts, 3 submissions, and 0 DQs this means he doesn’t mind taking damage as long as it means winning so we will go for the knockout.

Now let’s take another MMA betting example: Our opponent is known for his BJJ game since earning his black belt at 18 years old, but he has never tried to finish anyone by submission, instead, he likes to wear his opponents down on the ground by utilizing superior-top control. This tells us that our opponent is trying to win slowly. We will then go for a unanimous decision.

This decision must be made based on how you believe each fighter wins or lose; there are 18 possible win/loss combinations which translates to 720 bets ( fighters x method of victory ) which equals roughly $50000 USD depending on the odds you’re given. For example, if you have a guy with 2 submissions who is facing an opponent known for his striking game, go ahead and place your bet on: KO because it makes sense mathematically speaking however, one can always argue that if this guy is indeed known for his striking then he will either win by KO or submission. Therefore, with this MMA betting strategy, the best way to bet on who wins and how they win is to do your homework.

Free Bets as UFC Betting Options

UFC is an amazing sport that does not only features the best fights but also allows you to use free bets as well. If I had a couple of guys that could fight as these fighters do, then I would be the first one to go and try my luck at UFC!

This betting option started just last year and it works very well for those who want to place bets on various factors such as Over/Under rounds, Method of victory, or even Puncher’s chance. Just pick your bet carefully and watch how much money you will win in no time! The great thing about this action is that it offers plenty of betting options so everyone can find something they like. There are up to 12 rounds which means there are more than enough to bet on and each one of them has a certain price.

Also, free bets with both the underdog and the favorite so there is no way for you to make a mistake! What are the UFC betting odds here? Oh well, actually you lose nothing because everything can be done without risking anything. These guys put up really good fights that will have you glued to your screen from start till finish!

How do Free Bets work?

Free bets are a great way to take advantage of the bookmaker’s free bet offers. Sports betting sites use them as incentives for new customers, or to offer continued rewards. They are normally applied as a percentage match on your first bet, meaning they carry no cash value until you’ve used them up. The important thing is that they give you an opportunity to get involved with the UFC betting market without taking too much risk.

Knowing where to go with these offers is vital if you want to make sure you get value for money on each and every wager you place online. But there is another option open to those wanting to bet on more niche markets outside of the standard bouts found between top UFC fighters.

And that’s to search out the many smaller promotions offering fights from around the world, where athletes still yet to make a name for themselves test their skills against other up-and-comers from their native countries.

Choose Your UFC Bookmaker Wisely

Equally important – if not more so – is choosing your UFC bookmaker wisely. Especially when it comes to knowing how much you can win! Being able to bet on all of this content without having to move away from your regular betting site should be a priority for any MMA fan looking to get involved in their sport online. Many sites offer options covering everything from basic straight fight markets through special bets and multiples, while others provide added extras such as live streaming and dedicated chat rooms where users can interact.
